Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of DataRadars, including our website and browser extension. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What DataRadars does

DataRadars gives people who sell on live shopping platforms statistics about that market: what products draw bidders, what price ranges items reach, and when buyers are active. Our browser extension records your own live shows so those shows contribute to the picture.

The service is currently free. If we introduce paid features we will say so clearly before charging anyone.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
• One account per person or business. Do not share credentials.

The extension, and your platform's rules

The extension records only shows belonging to the shop you registered, and only after you enable it. It reads what is already visible on your screen. It does not sign in for you, act on your account, or place bids.

You are responsible for making sure your use of DataRadars complies with the terms of the platform you sell on. Platforms set their own rules about data collection and automated tools, those rules can change, and they are enforced by the platform and not by us. We are not affiliated with Whatnot, TikTok Shop, eBay, or any other platform, and we cannot promise that any platform permits this. If a platform restricts or terminates your account, that is between you and them.

What you may not do

• Use the extension to record shows that are not yours.
• Try to work out who an individual buyer is from our numbers, including by lining them up against information from somewhere else.
• Copy our numbers in bulk, or resell or republish them as your own product or data set.
• Try to get into accounts, data, or systems you were not given access to, or get around our security or the limits we set on how often the service can be called.
• Use the service to harass anyone, or for anything unlawful.

Your information and ours

Your business information stays yours. By turning on the extension you are giving us permission to record your shows and to fold what happened in them into the combined numbers other sellers see. Those numbers never point back at you: other sellers see counts and price ranges only, never your shop name and never your buyers' usernames.

The statistics, software, and website are ours. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you.

Accuracy, and what statistics are not

Our data comes from observing live shows. It is incomplete by nature: it covers the shops that have connected, not the entire market, and coverage varies significantly between categories. We label coverage so you can judge how much weight a number deserves.

Prices are read from live auction displays and can be approximate. Statistics are a record of what has happened, not a forecast. Decisions about what to buy, how to price, and when to go live are yours, and we are not liable for their outcome.

Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. We aim to keep it running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Data updates on a schedule and may be a day or more behind live activity.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by disabling the extension or deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to.

What we do not promise

We provide the service “as is”. In plain terms: we are not promising it will be free of mistakes, that it will suit any particular purpose you have in mind, or that it will always be available. You use it at your own risk.

If using DataRadars costs you money, we are not responsible for making that up to you. That covers things like lost profit, lost sales, lost data, or a missed opportunity, whether it came from a number being wrong, the service being down, or anything else. If you ever did have a valid claim against us, the most we would owe is whatever you paid us in the twelve months before it, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is larger. Since the service is free, that will usually be one hundred dollars.

Some places do not allow companies to limit their responsibility this way. If you live somewhere that does not, these limits may not apply to you, and nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change is significant we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
